What's UX writing?

UX writing (content design) consists of designing content to enhance the user experience. The UX writer aims to guide users in their interaction with the product.

Even though there's "writer" in the title, writing is only a small part of what we do. Here are a few examples of assignments carried out by UX writers: ‍

Define information hierarchy.
Participate in user tests to assess the quality and effectiveness of the content produced.
Make suggestions to improve the user experience.
